Fragrance is a step in my routine that is never forgotten, I could be running out of the house in gym clothes, no makeup and hair still in a pineapple, but I can guarantee that I will still be wearing perfume. Last Christmas, I had a real moment with perfume and I received my first very own two Jo Malone scents: Wood Sage and Sea Salt and the limited edition Wisteria and Violet (no longer available). Wood Sage and Sea Salt is the scent that I reach for most often. Personally, I prefer more masculine and earthy scents and this perfume did not disappoint, it honestly smells like a day at the beach. It’s a light beachy scent that has just a hint of edge to it, that gives it the slight mystery (as if i could ever be mysterious) to it. Overall, the scent is incredibly fresh with that slight hint of masculinity without being overpowering. Wisteria and Violet is whole other story entirely, it is every fresh but almost “wintery” in a sense. I would have to say that this one is slightly more feminine but overall almost has masculine tinge to it as well. The only way that I can describe it is that it smells as I would imagine a deep purple would smell, which is fitting since the bottle is a gradient purple. Jo Malone scents have not failed to exceed my expectations, these scents are not only beautiful but long lasting, these scents hang around and not in a bad way; one or two sprays in the morning and I am smelling fresh and beautiful all day without working about the scent fading or leaving me. For someone who runs around as much as I do that is truly a miracle. Even though I love my Jo Malone scents; I am going to be designing my new personalized scent from Jo Loves in a couple of weeks, so I will keep you all updated on that!
